THE LIVING ROOM.
The clue to our ethos is in our name. At Pangea we wanted to create a vibrant communal space where people from all countries and continents come together and have fun in a laid-back environment – after all, it was a damn shame we ever drifted apart. Of course, that doesn’t mean you can’t use The Living Room for checking emails, Facetiming and posting those obligatory humble-brag Instagram updates.
Our café and bar are drawn along the same lines as our accommodation – simple, delicious food that doesn’t break the bank, craft beers or shaken cocktails depending on your style, and of course superb wines by the glass that won’t leave you wondering what those French vineyards do with all your dollars. Grab a board game from the shelf if you and that traveler you just met fancy a challenge that doesn’t involve gear and gondolas. Let our barista pull you a tall Americano from our Espresso Bar if you’re in need of a caffeine fix. Plan the next day’s exploits with the foreigner you just started speaking to at our communal family-style tables.
THE ROOFTOP PATIO.
We’ve recreated a miniature version of The Living Room on our third-floor rooftop patio, where there’s a small rooftop bar, standing counter and sensational views over the pedestrian-only Stroll down to Village Square. Join us up here in the summer for gorgeous sunsets and cold beers, or make your way up in the winter for hot chocolate with a dash of Baileys (or, depending on the kind of day you’ve had on the mountain, Baileys with a dash of hot chocolate). We never get tired of it.
THE TOY BOX.
This is Whistler, one of the finest mountain sports resorts on the continent (if not the world). We know many of our guests will be bringing along their own gear, so we offer ski and snowboard racks for everyone during the ski season. There’s no need to reserve them in advance – just bring a lock or purchase one from The Shop at reception. You can use the same cable-tie that locks your equipment to concurrently hang and secure your wet outer shell. This is the place for wet stuff to dry!
The same space morphs to provide secure storage for your bike during the spring and summer seasons (you’ll need just a lock). Since we only have a limited number of bike racks, you’ll need to reserve one in advance for a small fee. This fee is set at the same rate required for overnight storage provided by Whistler Blackcomb at the base of the Bike Park so all guests are treated equally.
