SHAKE A COCKTAIL. CREATE LATTE ART. MAKE GUESTS HAPPY.
Love engaging with people from all over the world, both in and out of the workplace? Enticed by the prospect of working for the place to be in the world’s greatest ski resort? If so, we’d like to hear from you.
Pangea, a groundbreaking pod hotel in the heart of Whistler’s pedestrian village, is looking for front of house staff who can make our guests feel special. As “bartender, barista and server in one”, you’ll be at the front line of our operations, interacting with guests on a personal level and ensuring they leave Pangea having had an unforgettable experience.
You’ll be an outgoing, charismatic individual capable of engaging with an international clientele. You’ll be confident talking to guests, having an ability to converse on just about any subject – especially if it it involves skiing, boarding, biking or travel in general. Most essentially, you’ll deliver first-class service with a personal touch.
Naturally, our front of house staff need to be warm and welcoming, even in difficult circumstances. That’s why you’re a “people person” – energetic, enthusiastic, courteous and diplomatic. Needless to say, you’re a team-player, always looking to pitch in to help other Pangea People wherever needed.
Above all, you’re someone who shares in our vision of success for the Pangea project, a go-getter who actively contributes ideas and makes improvements that shape our future and realize our ambitions for dynamic growth.
ABOUT PANGEA AND OUR FLAGSHIP WHISTLER LOCATION.
The clue to our ethos is in our name. To work at Pangea is to be at the center of a global community of travellers – a place where people from all ends of the Earth and all walks of life gather to have a good time. Our aim is to be the metaphorical melting pot of Whistler – a place where our guests can relax and socialize over a coffee, craft beer or cocktail, swapping tips from the slopes and sharing stories of their adventures.
THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT AT PANGEA.
There’s nothing ordinary about our hotel (in fact it’s pretty exceptional), so why would our working environment be? Our employees are expected to have fun as well as work hard, to get to know our guests rather than just serve them, and to enjoy every day at the hotel. We want them to relish the challenges that come their way and take personal satisfaction from their achievements.
We actively encourage our employees to use their initiative, be creative, and challenge the status quo – if there’s something Pangea could do differently to achieve its goals more quickly or effectively, we want our employees to do or say something about it. We expect them to be proactive, determined, and willing to pitch in.
In return we offer real opportunities to progress at one of the most exciting hospitality projects in Canada (in one of the most famous mountain resorts on the planet).
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
As a member of our front of house team you’ll be a bartender, barista and server in one, performing each of these roles as required. And regardless of whether you’re pouring a latte on one day or mixing a Martini on the next, you’ll be delivering inspirational services to our guests.

- Top-of-the-market compensation, up to $28/hr (inclusive of cash tips)
- Health and dental benefits after initial period
