In his life Chili Thom collaborated with, advocated for, and found inspiration in both the artists of the Squamish and Lil’wat nations, and the youth of today. Whistler High School students are studying Chili Thom’s body of work and in June the “Inspired By Chili Thom” show will open up at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre – showcasing the students’ final pieces in their Chili Thom education and bridging the divide between two of our greatest cultural assets in Whistler.

Empty Bowls: A Foodbank Fundraiser | Whistler Event

The Whistler Pottery Club and the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in Whistler will once again hold a lunch like no other. Guests select one of 100+ handmade bowls, fill it with soup from local restaurants, and open their hearts to all of those who don’t have enough food to fill their bowls.

Ticket sales, additional bowl sales and a silent auction in past years raised over $4000- All proceeds will be donated to help fund foodbanks in the Whistler area.

Matisse Drawings: Curated by Ellsworth Kelly from the Pierre and Tana Matisse Foundation Collection is an important international exhibition for the Audain Art Museum. It marks the institutions commitment to hosting the best in visual art for museum members and visitors to Whistler. The exhibition features 45 drawings by master draftsman Henri Matisse spanning nearly five decades along with nine lithographs by accomplished American painter and printmaker Ellsworth Kelly – the curator of Matisse Drawings.
