This workshop will awaken your creative juices by connecting to the beauty of working with natural wild materials. On the first day participants will venture into the forest with instructor Cheryl Massey to harvest cedar bark. They will learn about the historical value of the cedar bark and learn how to gather the bark and transform it into strips for weaving. On the second day you will be in the beautiful Alta Lake Station House preparing the cedar bark and will learn twill and twining techniques, with the addition of tule rush, to create a rectangular basket.
